Welcome to the SummerTech Intern experience, an exceptional opportunity for campers seeking to embark on a transformative path toward becoming a highly esteemed SummerTech counselor and instructor. This exclusive program serves as the perfect add-on for campers, paving the way for an exciting journey of growth and development.
What does it mean to be a SummerTech Intern?
As a SummerTech Intern, you’ll embark on an enriching week-long team program alongside fellow interns. Together, you’ll tackle a series of engaging group tasks, gaining insight into the inner workings of SummerTech and becoming an integral part of our camp’s backbone. Throughout the week, you’ll collaborate with various directors and staff members, taking your first step toward potentially becoming a future staff member.
What to Expect?
Here’s what you can expect from your SummerTech Internship experience:
- Embrace the full benefits of being a camper, including access to all classes and activities.
- While interns are not instructors, we encourage continuous learning and participation in classes.
- You’ll have the opportunity to support staff members by assisting with electives and events.
- Develop your leadership skills by collaborating with staff members to create and shape electives and events.
- Electives and Events serve as the perfect platform to showcase your leadership abilities.
- Work closely with our directors to gain comprehensive knowledge of SummerTech’s operations.
- As an intern, you’ll receive a staff shirt and be recognized and celebrated during our opening and closing ceremonies.

To qualify as a SummerTech Intern, you need to meet the following requirements:
- Completion of 9th grade.

Attendance of a minimum of 2 weeks at SummerTech during this summer.
– Your first week(s) will be as a camper.
– Your last week will be as an Intern.
– Consecutive weeks are not mandatory. - Willingness to work collaboratively as a team and dedicate additional hours to assist with camp operations.
- Note that interns are not required to stay overnight at the camp.
Becoming a SummerTech Intern opens doors to a rewarding experience where you can contribute to the camp’s success while furthering your own personal and professional growth.
Intern Pricing for 2024
The cost for our Intern program is the same as the camper price.
