Becoming an Intern at SummerTech
Introducing the SummerTech Intern experience. Formerly our Counselor-in-Training (CIT) position and program will now be called an Intern and is open to any campers who have completed 9th grade and choose to spend two or more weeks at SummerTech.
What is a SummerTech Intern?
A SummerTech Intern is a camper who takes part in a week-long team working program with other interns to complete a series of group tasks and begin to learn the inner workings of how SummerTech operates and to be part of the backbone of that operation. Interns will work with several directors and staff throughout the week. This is your first step towards becoming a staff member at camp. Here are some details about your SummerTech Internship experience:
- Interns enjoy all of the camper benefits including all classes and activities
- Interns are not instructors, we want them to continue learning and taking classes
- Interns are encouraged to assist staff with electives and events
- Interns can even help develop electives and events with staff members
- Electives and Events are a perfect opportunity to be a leader
