For the first time ever SummerTech is offering a two-week, 12-night stay from July 2 – July 14 including a unique weekend program. Space is limited and registration for these two weeks opens November 1st. You will be able to register for one-week overnight stays starting December 1. Start making your plans!
New CIT Program
Our new counselor in training program at SummerTech is designed for rising 11th and 12th graders. The SummerTech CIT program is an amazing way for your child to experience being a full staff member while working with a mentor to learn the art of teaching our curriculum whether it be coding, animation or 3D modeling. CITs will take part in all aspects of being on staff including classes, events, and more. They can choose to do this as a commuter or overnighter. This is a two-week minimum program but can be extended.
SIDC
The SummerTech Internship and Development Course (SIDC) kicked off in September with an amazing group of upper high school students who will spend their year working with a SummerTech mentor on developing coding skills and teaching skills through a series of classes and evaluations. In January, each intern will get their own students from an outreach program somewhere in the world to hone their teaching skills and hopefully become part of the next generation of SummerTech instructors. You can read more about our Peer Teaching outreach program here.

Teaching Children in Jamaica
Back in 2020 we began fundraising to begin a program teaching children in a small community on the island of Jamaica how to code. We helped them build a classroom furnished with laptops, good wi-fi, and furnishings. In September 2022 we officially began providing weekly classes by an amazing group of SummerTech volunteer instructors. We couldn’t be more excited to see where this program leads. We are looking to expand our volunteer efforts. If you would like to get involved please contact us.
