Web Design & Development at SummerTech is much more than learning to make websites. It’s a complete coding course that teaches campers how to think like programmers while creating websites, games, graphics, and interactive experiences. Starting with HTML and CSS, campers learn to structure and design web pages before bringing them to life with JavaScript. Along the way, they develop essential programming skills, including variables, loops, functions, conditionals, and problem-solving, all through projects they can actually see and interact with.
What makes our approach different is that coding and web development are taught together. Instead of practicing programming concepts through isolated exercises, campers apply those concepts directly to the things they’re building. A lesson on loops might create colorful graphics on a webpage, while functions might power an interactive game of Battleship. It’s the same computer science taught in our Python and Java courses, brought to life through the creative possibilities of the web.
Whether campers are completely new to programming or already have coding experience, our instructors meet them where they are.
